Thinker 5.4a Inert is the best free engine at the moment

Actually Graham was right again, Thinker 5.4a Inert and HS-Book.abk are the best at the moment under Arena :wink:

Both programs were using HS-Book.abk

Toga's are stronger than Thinker, imo.

What George means is the games are too small in number to make your conclusion not that he doesn't believe you....
iDeeb_Script.abk is the best opening book under the Arena GUI and I have more than 2000 games played to confirm this,but....soon I'll match it against HS-book.abk and Balanced 14.abk using a reasonable set of engines and will public the results....the pgn will be available for anyone who wants to take a close look,but the book will stay private because it could be cloned easily....

In that case I will continue the match up to 100 games, specially versus TOGA II and see what the end result will be. Also the Rybka 2 opening Book which is your, is very strong and I will use it too.
