our updated rating lists are now online and can be found under the attached links.

This week we added 842 games made with 28 engines to our list. See more in our list "Games of the week". In total our 40/20 list is based now on 310.123 games.

I hope the latest ratings will finally open people's eyes to Stockfish, which still doesn't seem to get nearly as much attention as it deserves. It's becoming more and more clear that it is much stronger than Glaurung, and it is also more likely to improve in the future.

And it is also more likely to be already improved in the present because the "optimistic" (still publicly untested) version should be stronger then the default one.

It has now overtaken some of the commercial big-hitters, such as Hiarcs It's rating may change as it's game count increases from the present 300 games, but even if that happens, it is a superb effort anyway

I haven't tried it at FRC yet, but I think I saw someone say it's FRC support is broken.

Total agree, other good example is Thinker 5.4A, that is a very strong engine and people still talk about Rybka and Naum,
