CEGT - rating lists February 22th 2009

Hi all :-),
our updated rating lists are now online and can be found under the attached links.

40 / 20:
This week we added 842 games made with 28 engines to our list. See more in our list "Games of the week". In total our 40/20 list is based now on 310.123 games.

New engines:
no new engines

24 Stockfish 1.2def x64 4CPU 2979 +30 -30 300 games (-44 the start rating was too high - but +49 to Glaurung 2.2 x64 4CPU!)
64 Stockfish 1.2def x64 2CPU 2922 +22 -22 573 games (-1 and now -57 to 4CPU version)
31 Deep Shredder 11 x64 4CPU 2968 +11 -11 2104 games (+1)
35 Deep Sjeng WC 2008 x64 4CPU 2959 +14 -14 1165 games (+-0)
54 Deep Sjeng WC 2008 x64 2CPU 2933 +23 -23 513 games (+21 and -26 to 4CPU-version)
52 Bright 0.4a 4CPU 2935 +23 -23 499 games (+4)
223 Crafty 22.9 x64 2CPU 2743 +59 -59 109 games (-26; start rating was too high and we need much more games)
284 Crafty 22.9 x64 1CPU 2667 +25 -25 517 games (-3 and -76 to 2CPU version now)
350 Tornado 2.2 x64 1CPU 2601 +25 -25 504 games (-14 but still over 2600)

As always, thanks a lot for your work!

I hope the latest ratings will finally open people's eyes to Stockfish, which still doesn't seem to get nearly as much attention as it deserves. It's becoming more and more clear that it is much stronger than Glaurung, and it is also more likely to improve in the future. :)

And it is also more likely to be already improved in the present because the "optimistic" (still publicly untested) version should be stronger then the default one.

It has now overtaken some of the commercial big-hitters, such as Hiarcs :shock: It's rating may change as it's game count increases from the present 300 games, but even if that happens, it is a superb effort anyway

I haven't tried it at FRC yet, but I think I saw someone say it's FRC support is broken.

i hope you find the motivation, time, and energy to push it even further, and give rybka and naum some much needed competition!

well Rybka and Naum live on another planet, but I hope we could give some good competition to Cyclone :-)

Total agree, other good example is Thinker 5.4A, that is a very strong engine and people still talk about Rybka and Naum, :roll:

By the way Werner , the UP20080111.zip file have something wrong I can´t unzip it :wink:
