Don't be so sure. I have some pretty exciting plans for chess on the iPhone. Wait and see.

Since getting Glaurung for the iPhone, I haven't even opened up any of my other iPhone chess programs!

Any hints as to what the exciting plans are???

Not yet, at least not in public. But as a beta tester, you'll get to know about it -- and test it -- a bit earlier than most people.

I don't have a Touch, but I think all of the ones that work on an iPhone will work on a Touch.

Glaurung is easily my favorite. I also have Chess Genius, and Caissa Chess. There's also tChess Pro, which I don't have but I understand is very good.

The Touch is thinner and lighter than the iPhone, so that may be a good choice for you.

Hi, with the iPod and it's large hard drive, would I be able able to load up Chessbase Powerbook and use it as the default opening book for all of my chess programs?

Thanks,

Sean

Only the iPod Classic with its tiny screen has a disk drive (max 160 GB); all other iPods have flash instead with the iPod Touch topping out with 32 GB in the high end model.
