Thank you Peter and all the operators and others who share their time and efforts so we can enjoy our computer chess hobby.

Looking forward to the author's reports... The crafty - Rybka draw comments. ArasanX scoring well and so on.

Also looking forward to the new releases. New Bright release?

Congrats to the winner of course, Rybka.

I am exreamly pleased that Bright has shared the 2-3 place only 1 point behind Rybka using the new private book :D
If The author of Bright wants to release the new CCT opening book,i don't mind a bit :D
It's 88 Mb unziped....

thanks and thank you :)
while the book was working quite well when bright was white, we did
have a couple of unfortunate openings when playing the black pieces.
e.g., in the game against Arasan, the first move out of book showed bright -.90 (=behind) and we felt lucky to manage a draw.

Symbolic and I thank Peter for his admirable tournament director skills and for a smooth running event.

I will do what I can to make Symbolic a somewhat more fearsome opponent for next year's CCT.

Congrats Swami and Allard for Bright. Very strong performance here.

Great result by Arasan also.

Twisted played on single core only but still it was a great performance.

Thanks to Peter for being the TD.

Yes excellent play by Bright and great result. Amazing how quickly some of these engines have matured. I think it is fortunate for many of the commercial engines that they did not participate, otherwise these new engines might have made them look bad. Rybka is still the one to catch and it seems that Rybka is simply on a different level.

Thanks, Edsel. On the first day, Bright used less hash Ie 256mb, so it had only scored 3/5 but that's normal considering it drew Thinker and Fruit and lost to Rybka. Even with more hash, I'd bet the end results would have been the same.

Yesterday I managed to make it use 1024mb hash. Before the 7th round began the optimization software freed up memory, and optimised the system so the hardware crash or freezes wouldn't happen.

Bright really made use of 1024 mb really well, and it used 4 cpu's cleanly with _better_ than expected NPS.

I hope to see the MP version of your engine someday.
