The biggest nonsense in CTF is that certain hyper-active members want to defamate or better prevent certain political opinions for the sole reason that they cant accept or tolerate them, but they are impotent when it comes to the moment when they should deliver their counter arguments. The highest thought is always 'almost seven members have agreed with "me" that "your" opinion is totally wrong'. So, yes, if it comes to a mere task of additing numbers, then the intellectiual debate is starving in artificial coma. If however without moderation it were allowed to call foolish arguments for what they really are, this doesnt need long essays, it looks more like a direct execurtion, then the place would have a much better basis IMO.Dr.Wael Deeb wrote:Beautifuly stated, hence the tough task they have there....Rolf wrote:That's what I meant. We should be busy with ourselves all on our own and with feedback from the correspondents but NOT by head strokes by moderators. So, increasing the quality of our thoughts, call it self-improvement isnt therapy that could be understood as exertion of power from the outside. Hopefully I could clarify that by now.Dr.Wael Deeb wrote:Who told you that we need therapy Rolf![]()
....Damn
We're satisfied with our insane condition regards,

I want to be precise: in CCC the job of moderation is to protect the peaceful procedure of exchanges about technical or scientifical information and data. CTF is something else. Moderation cant protect that someone with a "wrong or weak" political opinion wins the argument.

Please take the time to vote in the CTF election also.

Re: Please take the time to vote in the CTF election also.
As i write we have 101 members voting on the CCC and 88 on the CTF
seems to indicate a fairly strong interest in voting in both elections which is a good thing
prior elections (since the change over to the new forum software) have had significant disparities in voting ..ranging from a high of +97 in favor of the CCC(8/07) to a low of in favor of the CCC +22(11/08)
