Re: Move 9
You might want to start a new thread. I would guess most people have given up on this one.

Re: Move 9
I'm so weak at chess my suggestions would probably do more harm than good. Still, maybe I'll chip in with a couple of suggestions here and there, they just come with a big warning attached !

Re: Move 9
Looks like a good fighting move! No knights to drive it away. Preparing possibility of Q-side castling, (still option of covering g2 with Queen, now, covers b2 and b4), and Black has good open lines too.

Looks good to me, I always like an attacking move, and gets the queen into the gameS.Taylor wrote:Maybe Qa5+ as a next move?

Re: Move 9
It seems to me there are 2 options
Qa5+ and Rb8
Qa5+ would lead to an exchange of Queens and might look something like this:
[d]r3kb1r/3p1ppp/1pb1p3/4P3/8/8/PPPB1PPP/R3KB1R w KQkq - 0 4
4.Be3 d6 5.Bxb6 dxe5 6.Be3 Be7 7.Bc4 Rc8 8.Rg1 0-0 9.0-0-0 Kh8 10.c3
± (0.96) Depth: 20/13 00:00:00 484kN
Rb8 would keep more material on the board and might look more like this:
[d]1r2k2r/p2pbppp/2b1p3/q3P3/2BQ4/4B3/PPP2PPP/2KR3R w k - 0 4
no eval from Crafty because he is simply thinking on it
