(And that was what everyone expected after 10...Be7?)
doesn't seem that any of the posted analysis mentioned 11.Be2 for White here..i see mostly 11.Be3 as the expected reply after your 10..Be7..this doesn't mean that the B on e2 is better then on d3 and perhaps it isn't
right now the move with all of the votes is 11..f6
i think its something like 9 votes for it
i do have a reply for 11..f6 so if i can get confirmation about that i will post the 12th move
however i dont want to leave anybody out of the voting so perhaps its better to leave the voting open yet as there is still plenty of time yet to make your move?

Qa5+
Qa5+ forces c3 (anything else is rotten and good for us).
This allows us to concentrate on both sides of the board which is something the machine cannot cope with.
(And that was what everyone expected after 10...Be7?)
Be2 is not a particularly surprising move (to me). I expected Bd3, and Be2 looks like just an inferior version of this. The main weakness of ...Be7 is that it allows white to move the white bishop and castle kingside (you can read several of my posts whining about this) so it seems pretty expected that it would do so.
Regarding Conkie's 11...Qa5. I think this is a fine move, but doesn't exactly force c3 in my mind. If I voted for it, it would be with the idea of 12. Bd2 Qb6. But when I pushed for that idea last move people seemed pretty firmly against allow a queen trade so my analysis has been bent to the will of the community (for now...)

I wanted Qa5+ originally. Now the machine has given us a chance to play it again. When playing machines you must pull them left and right out of position.
Qa5+ poses a threat out with it's compass. The way to beat chess computers is to give them things that are alien to their minimal computational abilities.
Stretch them out of their rigidity. Software is different these days. The thing we are playing is quite bland and stoic in it's way to play. Good for it's time but with some very very significant flaws.
This is the most important part about playing against one such machine before things are set and we have no good manoeuvres. You need to pose it questions it knows nothing about. Let me tell you, this particular machine know nothing about the flank attack or for that matter, the side of the board.
It's a bit like the game we won against Hiarcs in a parallel universe.

Well that makes it 10 votes for 11..f6 with about 5 hours to go to the time control(as i write)
seems highly unlikely this is going to change anytime soon but i guess i should just wait to give everyone a last chance to consider the move..we have waited this long after all
