It has been down for me also. The connection is still a little slow.

Could you post the current position with the moves that has
been made up to this point. Maybe someone has been
keeping track of the total moves made and can post them.
Thanks for your time.

Best to you,

Gerold.

Hi Gerold
i have been updating the current position with the current PGN in the lead post in this thread

here is the link to the first post in this thread
it will be and has been updated after every black and white move for several moves now

There are only 4 moves to consider here.

Raa8 is probably going to lead to a 3 fold repetition and therefore a draw.

Ra7 gets Be3, Bh6 or even Bg5.

Ra6 gets c5 or Bh6.

Rc5 gets Bb4 which I don't like at all so I will scrub that as a plan.

Based on this and the fact that we would like to win we have a choice between Ra7 and Ra6.

To prevent the rook getting attacked again the choice must be Ra7. We have to try to see if it will repeat with Be3. If Bh6 we have good possibilities.

Ra7 for me then.

21 ... Ra8

if we want avoid a draw, it is not too late yet.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Hmmmm
only two votes after 8 hours
and only 4 votes last move
i wonder if there is no longer any interest in playing out the game?
another possibility could be that some players tried to log on earlier today but with the TC server down they were unable to do so?

i know Ray is waiting in the wings until this game ends to start his 960 game..11 players seemed interested in playing 960(according to the poll)
if there is little interest left i would offer a draw and step aside for Ray to start his game

Thoughts Anyone?

I'll get involved as able. I have a touch of the flu, which is why I didn't vote for the last move.

Hopefully not the Swine(H1N1) flu Graham?
I am reading that it hit Australia pretty hard but no news about New Zealand?

Speedy Recovery Regards
