As Chris says, Qb4 is next I guess. Unless something else come along to change my mind, that is my vote

At least we have one vote now.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Re: Move 35..
Why is Qb4 a good move? What is difference with Qb6 for example?

Qb4 protects the bishop on c5 which will go to e7 eventually.tano-urayoan wrote:Why is Qb4 a good move? What is difference with Qb6 for example?
Qb6 is bad because it allows Be5 at which point we are probably dead.
After Be5, Rf4 (which will be our equalising move) is not possible.
Qb4 encourages Bh4 (why? because it's a pawn/piece grabber - remember what was said about the edges of the board) and allows us to play Rf4. It also will eventually encourage a bad swap of bishops on e7.

Re: Move 35..
It is IMO a bad idea to play a move because we think we know the computer will make a mistake. What if it doesn't go Bh4? What is the Queen doing on b4?Christopher Conkie wrote:Qb4 protects the bishop on c5 which will go to e7 eventually.tano-urayoan wrote:Why is Qb4 a good move? What is difference with Qb6 for example?

I didn't understand why the bishop needs protection or how are we going to swap if white doesn't play Bh4. Also, what if ...Qb4 Be5?
Qb4 looks to me like a computer move, maybe it is justified by some tactics but the idea is not clear.
And our position is really bad. Our problem is that we have a weakness on g6 now, black squares are weak and we have no targets to attack.

Yes, that is very true - and the Tasc is very unlikely to make a mistake. We are in a bad position, I think we will probably lose this match. I'll look at it againplayjunior wrote: It is IMO a bad idea to play a move because we think we know the computer will make a mistake.
