Well,whether I install it as a winboard engine or as a UCI,it just won't work....it pumps up an error message and terminates....
I tried to right click the .exe file and make the XP compatibility,but still....the problem presists :cry:
I am very keen to include this engine in my tournaments again but no luck so far....I think that it's playing style is very unique and even more entertaining than Pro Deo....

I cannot agree more, it is my favourite engine to play against. I have only managed one draw after hundreds of games. I find it easier to draw Hiarcs, or Shredder. Rebel is just too damned sharp and aggressive.

Regarding your troubles running Rebel 12, I think you should send Ed an e-mail, or maybe lokasoft. The last option would be to upgrade you operating system. I am running Vista Premium 64 bit and it runs flawless. Soon Windows 7 will be released (wait for it) and you will be up and running.
