Dedicated computers generally show the score for the computer so it would show a -.19 if it thought it was behind

I thank the forum that apparently nobody has used an engine till now against BigLion in this game.
Weak and clueless BigLion is definitely beatable without engine help.

You should not be embarrassed about BigLion, it is doing a decent job, and furthermore it is your own creation

I chose BigLion because I reckoned that without computer help the forum had about a 50/50 chance of victory against it, and the chance of winning is important. Without a reasonable chance of victory, it would have been no fun for the forum and I think people would have lost interest very quickly. So I think it is ideal, and it will be a tough battle. This is no walk in the park for the forum brains

For the record, BigLion is playing on one core of an Intel QX6700 at 2.93Ghz

I think BigLion's Knight on f6 is "pinned" by our a1+b2 battery and thus weak.
Pawn e7 cannot move either and our battery can last long, though it wastes queen power.

At this early stage, I think we have

Bc3 - Steve, Tano, Matthias
h3 - Gerold, Graham

11.h3 with the following plan in mind - 11....Bh5; 12.g4, Bg6; 13.Ne5 (or Nh4) with f4 to follow.

good plan Graham. B may not go to Bh5. B may go Be6.
In that case White plays e3-e4. Giving White complete
control the 4 middle squares.
h2-h3 drive away the black B and free up the white N and B.
