Dan didn't say which version of Yace he was using, but there's a Yace archive page here: http://sites.google.com/site/marochess/yace
The latest version available there is 0.99.87 dating from June 2004.

Thanks for that. I have been always using the PB version. Did not know there was a more recent one

How about SOS?

I was always bummed Sierra never updated the Power Chess program and that that engine, which name alludes me for the moment never was. W-Chess, correct?

Power Chess was a great disappointment for me and for everybody. It had great features, but it was W95 stuff and full of bugs. I never could work it as it should.

i remember wchess2000 from kittinger for Genius GUI.
but it didn't play that good as i thought it would...

I wonder if my memory about wchess1.04 made me illusions how good wchess2000 could be...

what a pity that we do not have kittingers program for uci.
What seems like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow.
