So to answer the question, who is afraid of the big bad bear, everyone is it seems.

I will wait a few more hours, if no moves are submitted, then this game is officially over.

Thanks to those that took part.
They are not afraid of playing the chess engine, they are afraid to get hunted by a secret society worshiping Rybka and it's maker....the sect followers will add them to a black list which is hocked in the main hall of their sect and they'll be cursed by all it's members....

I would choose e5 in the above position. Black currently evaluates White to be 0.25 ahead.

I would agree with Nxd4. Bxb5 is about the same, they will transpose.

The forum is in deep thought right now,

The good ship thinks further, until brave comrades find legal move in above position.

If fearful of Rybka ship army, use pm for confidential legal thinking.

Use your ships if make easier, Big Bear fears no ship.

Those with a sharp eye for detail will notice that Black has increased it's nps by nearly 10%, now running a highly optimised version with profile guided optimisations, the size of the binary is 319kb, and to my surprise, it runs 33% faster on the EEE's 900mhz Pentium-m than on a 2.0ghz Pentium-m laptop, due to a larger cache. (and faster memory) For a portable chess solution, the EEE is hard to beat imo.

Going for a reboot now,to install a kernel module that will hopefully push the EEE up to 990mhz, giving another 10% speed increase. :D

Anon has suggested

Bf1

Personally I prefer the more agressive Nf5 (Bxf5 exf5 Nd7) in this position.

My daughter says she should take over as Black, any thoughts on this, would CCC prefer to take on a girl rather than the strongest chess engine?
