the list is easier to read if

each time control with:

- single version 32 bit
- single version 64 bit
- mp versions 32 bit 4cpu
- mp versions 64 bit 4cpu

thats all !

why you wasting time with a engine that can use only 1cpu and 32bit ?
then if this engine cant support mp move it to the single versions only

what i will say dont stopping authors motivations and ideas to improve his engines when ever he wants, if you dont have the time, dont waste time for a weaker engine, and take only the engine that bring the best on you hardware (eg. Tornado X64 4cpu) and not take Tornado 32 bit single version.

but dont mix single and mp version together in one list.
This is exactly my policy Engin,I test the engine with it's maximal strength...x64 if available and using 4CPU....The maximum strength....

All other methods of testing are a waste of time as you said with all due respect to the other testers....this is just my humble opinion....

P.S.I won't tough the own opening book theme because Graham Banks will terminate me at once

and it make not sense that 4 or 5 rybka version dominating the list, and you give this engine more cpus to disapear from other engines so far away.
Sorry Engin, this is completely wrong, or should I say it is nonsense?

Every important engine and every potential Rybka hunter is
listed with 4CPU (and x64 if possible). Ok, Tornado is missing, maybe
you have still a lot to do to be a real Rybka hunter...
of fairness you must also give the other engines same conditions to come near rybka strength, otherwise rybka goes over 3500 elo and the rest will go down and down, the ratings list becomes then a unbelievable status.
do you really believe what you are writing there? Maybe you can
tell me an IMPORTANT engine which is missing?

Here: http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/40_40%2 ... liste.html you find:

Rybka 3
Naum 4
Deep Shredder 12
Deep Fritz 11
Zappa Mexico (II)
Stockfish 1.5.1
Thinker 5.4D Inert
Hiarcs 12.1
Deep Sjeng 3.0
Bright 0.4a (0.5c coming soon)
Deep Junir 10.1
various versions of Fruit/Toga

and so on...., all with 4CPU

So your allegation that we prefer Rybka is completely ridiculous.

maybe we have fun to test as many engines as possible? It is
definetely not waste of time to test e.g. Critter 0.42 or Spark 0.3 which are - with 1CPU and 32bit -
stronger as many other engines (I tell no name...) with 2 or 4CPU.

No,you didn't understand what he's asking you :!: :!:

He's telling you why to waste your time testing a particular 32bit chess engine using 1 CPU when this engine has a x64 version or/and MP capable :!: :?:
In other words why don't you teat the engine with it's full strength :!: :?:

Note that I am passing Engin's question here, not giving an opinion or dectating something....I know that some people wants to know for example what the strongest SP 32bit engine out there, what's the strongest SP x64 out there, and so on....

exactly this engines you are prefer to use with 4cpu only, but dont let other engines a change who can also using 4cpus and is x64 to become better rating in the list.
