New market ?

Post by NaltaP312 »

Hello great forum,

i search a chess board on wood but with inside the board a system with last engine.
the system can be a linux, and the via usb we will can add different engine.
For me, the nice is the following :
I continue to play with a real chess board and continue to have the pleasure to touch and puch wood ;)
At same time i will continue and update a chess engine, like rybka 2.2 or other than use uci protocol. We can update it to plug with usb port and connected to a computer, just to update the engine.

Do you have an idea if it is done or not ?
I think it is "easier" to do but .... just do it ;)

Regards
Yves

yes i know this, but to play with it, you must connect it to a pc with a chess engine.

My question, sorry for my english, is different :
The target is to have a system (linux) inside the wood board with the engine.

The connection with usb is just to update your engine inside the wood board.

The Resurrection and Revelation computers do not have to be connected to a PC
there are several Onboard engines and NO PC is needed
updates to the onboard engines can be done through Bluetooth wirelessly

its best you contact the company via the web site i posted
they make the Revelation computers
they can give all details
i am only a collector of these things and do not set prices...
i can tell you the chess board and pieces for the Revelation is one of the finest chess sets i own
full tournament size board ,Mahogany pieces ..3" King..etc etc
the set alone would be worth several hundred dollars

Effectively very very nice piece of art.
after done some search on the web i understand the pirce for wood and style.
But i continue to think than for a correct price we can have this :
the technology is here like for ipod touch and we can have some correct wood piece for 50 euros.

with pc prices dropping like a rock how come no one has taken
a small form facter board and loaded it itnto a nice wooden chess board.?
could easaly have 4 to 8 gigs of ram.honken hard drive loaded with
all the best commercial and public engines.
have a monitor port, plugs for a mouse and key pad(or blue tooth),
a bunch of usb ports(for external dvd,or even built in),built in wifi and land,etc...
then when you were done playing chess, bingo!its a regular pc.
sounds cool to me,and should cost a lot less then 3100 euro's.

giving away another million dollar idea regards,
mike
by the time i get there,i'll be there.
