Plisk fails miserably at this position.
What kind of bonuses do you give to entice the king to go and start picking up enemy pawns?
Going after undefended pawns? This seems a bit pricey to detect.
Going after blocked pawns?
Going after pawns far away from their own king?
Any ideas?
Material wise, Plisk sees this position as quite bad for white, because it is down a bishop as well as several pawns. Because of that going for a draw makes it happy so it does not attempt to capture pawns since they are quite far and it requires a good amount of depth to reach them.
That bears another question actually. How to mitigate the fact that the engine thinks white is in such a bad shape? I guess detect somehow that the bishop is blocked and cannot move, and lower its score a lot?
Regards,
Vlad.
Stupid for human but not for all engine
