Your move appears to be the strongest. However i think
White will be confused with another move.
Nd7.
Best,
Gerold.
Do you think we're in danger of losing the d-pawn if we play Ne6 as Matthias suggests?
What is the plan behind Nd7?
Cheers,
Graham.
The d pawn is ok for now.
Matthias move would give White the choice of trading with
Ng3 which would not be to good. Ng5 is a problem for Black.
Your move would trade out Ng5 maybe leaving Black in
fair shape.
Nd7 would avoid the trading of Knights and leaving Black
still very strong in the Middle 4 squares.
Best,
Gerold.
P.S. White's Bf3 can't be avoided as far as i can see.
That will be White's strongest move. Hope White misses
that move .
I think that the main danger for us lies on the queenside. My thinking was that after Ne6; Nxe6, Bxe6: our bishop can once again be of help in protecting our queenside.
I'm not so confident about Nd7 in this regard.
I propose Ne4. After N3xe4 dxe4, Bc4 will be no problem for black due to Rfc8, soon followed by Ba3! with at least equal chances. Also exchanging bishops on white squares may be good for black according to the pawn structure. Other responses than Bc4 don't appear critical to me.

Well i was late getting here
sorry about that
technically Sven's move came 4 Hrs past the time control so the move really ought to be Ne6(Graham,Tano)
however as this is a friendly game i will leave it up to the players to decide to allow Svens vote in or to go with Ne6
the vote winner at TC
Sven's vote would bring the voting to a tie between Ne4 (Matthias,Sven) and Ne6
if you decide to allow Svens move in then please indicate your preference for Ne6 or Ne4 so we can not delay the game any further
