Hi,
does someone know how many of the 7-man-egtbs have been built up to now and if (where?) they are available, e.g. for online usage/positions requests?

Also, Victor Zakharov has time coming on the Blue Gene supercomputer at Moscow University and 7 men files are expected to become available in 2012.

Hello Ralf,
This topic has previously been discussed here. Checking
the archives could be of some help. You might also look
at Rybka Forum. Another source on egtb is:

Best,
PS: I have full set of 5-man. I'll download few important
6-man for testing purposes, ie to try to determine their
effects on engine play.

I have all 6-men-egtbs, but I have a 7-men-position (KNNP-KNP) on the board where the transposition and capture might appear an very late future. So all the endgame database programs neither announce a mate nor a draw evalutaion. That is why I would like to take a look into the 7-men-egtbs.beachknight wrote: Best,

I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.

Q: TBS files?
I have another tablebases directory: tbs
It contains the files like kbbbkn.tbs, ...
141 files 1.127.822 bytes
I have downloaded them from Robert's ftp server to use with Crafty.
What are these files and how can I use them?
