Losing the Black Bishop for the Knight is not so bad, King has central position and avoids odd colored Bishops. Also it prepares g pawn advance.

Still is drawish though :)

ps.. hope you don't mind me posting to your game.
Welcome aboard Nick!

the consensus seems to be the game is basically drawn

perhaps the players want to consider making a draw offer?

I offer a draw to spare the MDC unnecessary 287 moves :) .

perhaps at 3 minutes per move
but the M(ystery) D(edicated) C(omputer) is allowed up to 24 hrs a move and i doubt it will blunder in this position or allow one of the two remaining Black pawns to get any where near promoting

Still..if the team wants to play on...
the MDC will play on until we hit a 6 man EGTB draw
then i would rather just split the point

Matthias.
Looks like a draw no matter which move is made.
I will vote for a draw also.

If not a draw i will vote for Be6.

Best,

Gerold.

Well the teams three day to day hardcore players(Graham ,Gerold and Matthias) offer a draw

i would accept the draw but i dont want to leave other players out of the voting

what say we leave the draw voting open the full 24 hours(16 Hrs from now) and tally up the draw offer votes?

If you read the first 2-3 pages of this thread Nick you will see the conditions the game was played under
we played a chess 960 game with the Ufim chess engine playing against the forum until both sides had Castled
then the MDC took over
the identity of the mystery computer will be revealed when the game is over
only Ray Banks(the operator of Ufim) was given the name of the computer before the game began
