You guess wrong. I left you alone to do it by yourself as you wished it.

The result is pretty rubbish, Look at it. After all it was you, and you alone who took every decision here.

You could have stayed away Steve, you could have just left it alone.

Anyway, not to worry. My desire for computer chess will always outweigh your desire for control.

Look on the bright side, it's still here. They could have shut it down. After all, clones are not in stock at ChessUSA.

Just a thought.....

No I am afraid not. I will not get into the semantics of it all. Suffice it to say that the agreement was private.

I agreed not to post here, and you agreed to keep that private.

Simple.

It is not private and I can prove it, whether you like that or not.

Don't be so sore. You had the opportunity to show us all the brave new world and it has turned into an unmitigated disaster. Now the place is full of nobodies saying nothing about nada. It can be cured. They can have their voice. Maybe not as vocal as it is, but they can still have that.

I will be posting my CCC moderation statement (if I accept that nomination) when I feel like, if I feel like it.

Most important is that the place survived Steve B.

Thank you for holding the sand in your hands.

Respect.

:)

Is this the private agreement that you're referring to Christopher?
http://schachcomputerwelt.foren-city.de ... count.html

A couple of ex-mods who shall not be named seemed to know about it before you did, according to posts made both here and in the Rybka forum. Didn't seem to be very private.

when i informed Chris about his ban i copied all three CCC mods ,Sam and all three CTF mods
Throston was a moderator of the CTF at that time
as the ban was going to effect the CTF as well it makes perfect sense to do that

we certainly cannot be held responsible if one of the CTF mods then decided to go tell someone else

the fact that you would now try to interfere with a CCC decision Graham is beyond the pale and IMHO shows bad intentions on your part

its also curious that you waited until the elections to now make an issue of this when the agreement has been in effect for a month now
seems you and Chris have coordinated some sort of attack here given that he has now posted today for the first time

I have never felt banned. What I have felt is the feeling of watching you and the CCC. It has been quite interesting to watch you "modify" the charter on the hoof.

First we have .....

5. Are not of questionable legal status.

And then we have the Steve B "it is not questionable".

Are you a judge? You won't be judging me, this much is certain. I did not create this mess.

I don't really give a stuff whether Ippo is OK or not. What I do give a stuff about is what this forum is actually for.

You are responsible, no one else for how the forum has regressed. The forum is in your image. You, and you alone made it this way.

Now next to no programmers want to post here (in the General Forum). Many gave up. It is your fault, however innocently you may have created this rotten situation.

You want to stamp your foot? Prepare to be stamped on.

I know many programmers of many wonderful engines. They are the very blood of computer chess. They give you the engine in the module that makes your dedicated board work. They work very very hard to achieve this. The shop that sells engines that this board is supported by relies on that advancement.

To have a board that is dedicated to trash talk is unacceptable to them. This is all they tell me, in unison, nearly every day.

Forgive me if this is harsh but reality is needed here.

I will continue to support those people who want to create something real. I don't need reverse engineered crap from some nobody from nowhere. Whatever it is, or is not is an irrelevance to me.

Most importantly the programmers of real stuff need somewhere to release their creations. If this is the "Ippolit I don't give a damn forum", let me know now, so that we can dance around it's unimportant grave.

I would rather be happy supporting decent people than some fly by night dunderhead with a decompiler way to complicated for them to use properly.

For your information.......

Thorsten and his cohorts did what they did while Thorsten was still a moderator. Don't try to change it.

Your agreement was dead, stone dead, before it began.

And now I will address more important people, because you are wasting my time.

If you are a programmer of an engine out there who feels aggrieved like I do, my advice is to reclaim your CCC for you.

At this point now, I will stand, I ask for your vote so we can set this place to rights.

Again
i copied all 3 CCC mods and all 3 CTf mods when emailing you about your CCC ban..
so of course Thorsten was STILL a CTF mod here..thats why i copied him
you and Skinner removed him as Mod after we reached our agreement with you

the agreement was that we (CCC) Mods would make no public announcement about the ban
we have kept that agreement

I fail to see your point. We have impending elections.

Whenever you say "we". everyone needs to know that at the time (and still is now) it was "you" and you alone. The others were after.

Don't give me the "we" thing.......because it was only "you".

You go your way, i will go mine. Just to prove there are no hard feelings, I will even relate to you a story that took place some months ago that concerns you. Nothing bad mind, just very very funny, and very very enlightening.

Have you nominated anyone yet?

:)
