Ofcourse, as posted in nomination statement, I'm willing to work alongside Mathias and Jeremy.
I too am willing to work in a team with Jeremy and Swami.

That makes the team:

Jeremy
Swami
Matthias.

Clare is willing to work with Graham and Chris (amongst others ?).

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Promoter commercial (Chess) software should not moderate here!

It's Time. :!:

Thank you.

This should eliminate Harvey Williamson who recently attacked Stockfish after it gained some strong ELO points.

And sorry for my precipitation: I did read your nomination statement before posting that thing about "keeping my word".

Of course, keeping our word is very importante, but our principals should be above our word. So, when some new informations come, we should compare them with both, with our word and with our principals, and give preference to the latter.

It was exactly what happened with me this afternoon.

I did NOT read your nomination statement before posting that thing about "keeping my word".

Well, I am not going to say who I voted for, but they love freedom, and are against killing puppies and babies. Ok, well I am pretty sure about the freedom and puppy part anyway...I admit the babies thing is just an educated guess.

There are 9 candidates on the list, but one particular individual worries me based on his past behavior. He is already a mod for 2 commercial entities. He has in the past displayed to be not independent minded. I am talking about how he participated tacitly as well as willingly in the fraud called chessbase/playchess. This is a company that took my money and decided to not provide the services. I have contacted them since November and not a single response.

When a company takes your money and refuses to provide the services promised, and when you contact them and get no response, this is called fraud. This particular individual's response has been I am only a volunteer, in essence, he is saying, I am only following orders. Further more this individual has used his position as a mod on one of the servers to come here and accuse and attack members on this forum. This happened just 2 days ago. If you are part of a mod team, and one of them behaved irrationally, it is your duty to see that the situation is resolved fair and square instead defending the bad behavior. This is exactly what this guy has done. He likes being in position where he has to dictate to others. So be very careful how you vote. You can read the link to get an idea of what am talking about.

I remember reading this thread at the time, and thinking you were right to be mad and feel mistreated. But now that I have gotten to know you better...I have not changed my mind :). Its one of the reasons I go to ICC instead of playchess for my engine testing despite being told that playchess has many more participants. Of course, I am mad at ICC too for not being responsive about free engine accounts for original program authors. And I am even madder at FICS about their support. Sigh...why is it so hard to find a good online environment? I kind of understand about FICS but at least the professional services should have reasonable support.

It is sad to see fellow election candidates joining in with the election Spam, now voting has begun, especially one that I voted for!

Sigh Regards,
Harvey
