i have often said that the election will put the these important issues into the hands of the members who will exercise their vote to elect moderators who most closely reflect their opinions and perspectives
however, in order to do that we need a selection of candidates to accept their nominations who represent different viewpoints
the members cannot express their preference if only 2-3 members all with the same mindset are in the running
the members will vote ..but right now the future of the board is in the hands of the dozen or so good men and true ..the nominees.. to come forward and give the membership a choice
And come forward they did!

we can now truly say the future of these forums are in the hands of the members .
there is now a good choice of accepting Nominees on the ballot reperesenting very different views of the boards future

on a personal note..speaking as a lame duck moderator
the toughest part of this job is right now
trying to uphold the charter ..whilst everyone is posting how they will do a much better job then i did
:P

I do not see you as a lame duck. You have done a good job.
You still have time to change your mind. Then i would not have
to worry about who could replace you.

Best,

Gerold.

P.S. You will win if you want it.

NOW..you tell me!

Seriously though..
i dont think it would be right for me to mention who i will vote for
i dont wont to be seen as influencing the election in any way...
i imagine those nominees i would endorse.. will complain bitterly that i cost them the election
:o

The "Bild" is also one of the most read (or crowded as you might call it) newspapers in Europe. This is not a criterion for quality but for the avearage intelligence of the people reading it. A crowd has no brain so it might help in some biological processes like finding food, escape an enemy or create nice patterns but not much more.

From my experience I and I think most people don't like loud crowds. We only had bad experiences with crowds...
