stockfish 1.6s - 1.6.2ja

first of all i only have the 32 bit stockfish so this won't be relevent for those using 64 bits. the first version of the new stockfish that i had was simply stockfish 1.6s, and when loaded as like a black dos screen just says stockfish 1.6s 32 bit, and when installed in a gui just says stockfish32. i have had several different versions since - 1.6s ja, 1.6.2, 1.6.2DC, 1.6.2ja etc. but after doing a lot of very basic testing i have found the original stockfish32 to consistently be the strongest, with easily the best score against rybka of all the various 1.6s'. but from most of the lists that i have seen and from the anecdotal evidence i have read 1.6.2ja seems to come out on top. so are my results just an anomoly, is it because the later versions that i downloaded had something or other wrong in the compiles, or is just that the first version is the strongest?
