anyway, my comment that I tend to like to know the sources of games date and who was playing, why not?, finally, after all, the chess players do not have ©.

PD: all it´s free, ;-) I love GLP.

I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

on my site I've put more than 22.000 checkmate puzzles (1, 2, 3 e 4 moves) playabled against a chess engine in an applet and with the possibility to export them in FEN notation:

Hi Gianluca,

A few weeks ago I dropped you a private email that perhaps you did not rcv. I was curious if these 22000 positions are in epd format and if so I may be able to increase the number of positions for you. I have been doing chess research for some time and was interested in helping. I did not know if these positions were proprietary but if not all I would need is the epd along with the next move as pv etc. Let me know if this is something you would be interested in atleast seeing.

Thanks,

Les

Hi Gianluca,

If your 22000positions are not propritary and in epd format I wanted to know if I can get them with the goal of making you many more similar problems to add to your collection. I have been doing chess research for many years and had developed a utility that would increase your number of positions rather substantially if you are interested in atleast seeing what I can do.

Hello Les,

I've extracted all the positions from actual games (except any that are taken from 1001 brillant way to checkmate) and are in fen format but in a mysql database. I need time to view wich format to export are available and then I can send you all the positions. I'm interested in what you can do but I don't know if manipulated positions are interesting like the ones from actual games.

Hi,

Very nice site. If you want to increase the number of problems, you can get about the same number of exercises from Scid's distribution (feel free to add them to your own database).

Hi Gianluca,

If you like you can send me just 5 positions as long as they are in epd format and show the bm or pv for the correct move and are a mate position, I can show you as an example what I can do with those positions. Of course only if you have time for those 5 positions.

Thx Gianluca

to produce an edp format a need to write some code. My applet incorporate an engine so evaluate the position in real time. I use the solution stored only for showing it when the user press the solution button.
