Rybka ideal settings for engine matches.

Post by frcha »

What are the ideal settings for Rybka3 for a 1 on 1 engine match at medium to long time controls?

Should hash be relatively small at 128Mb? Will 512 Mb slow it down for say time controls like 40/4? I think it might but not sure. ..

What is the best hash size for 40/4 and shorter time controls?

And for 30s to 1 min per move can it be increased to 512 or is 128Mb sufficient.

Contempt should be zero - I am assuming.

This for a medium performance machine like a quad 6600 .

If this are redundant questions, any link to info on this will be greatly appreciated.
