Steve,
Took a peek at your extensive collection. Very impressive! You should be thinking about opening a museum. Or is that a museum already. I've got a chess set collection also, but mine pales compared to yours!

WOW again! I just wonder what a working one would sell for? I suggest that you have yours repaired, and list it.Steve B wrote: BTW..that old 1982 Novag Robot on Ebay just sold for $1800

Hi Steve,
best regards,
Robert
yes, i had a defective Res I display too! Ruud had sent me a replacement together with the advice to reduce the voltage.Steve B wrote: since we are talking about defects..
my active graphic display module for the Res I is now defective
the display sceen is always blank and will not work with either the Res I or Res II Program modules
the Res I program module works as i can play a game but there is no display
my Res II display module does not work with the Res I but of course works fine with the Res II module
have you heard of similar probelms with the Res I display modules?
best regards,
Robert

how do you reduce the voltage?
do you mean by using the supplied 5v adaptor module?
my adaptor module is also defective
the plug on the adaptor module used to insert the power supply snapped off..2 weeks after i received it.. so i am using the outlet on the side of the mephisto boards to power on the computer

Re: Novag 2Robot Chess Computer
Hello Steve.
Hm, and how about repairing/replacing the adaptor plug? I you have somebody who is able to use a soldering iron, then this should be no problem...
best regards,
Robert
This should be the most reliable way (not to forget to use also 5 V input)Steve B wrote: how do you reduce the voltage?

ok, then this seems to be no option for you...my adaptor module is also defective
