I am not sure how long I am playing on SWCR with the TOP engines. So far I have a lot fun with it.
But I slipped all the others, this is bad.
I think I will use now one PC for the amateurs I like. Such tourneys you played, other played are interesting too. Perhaps much more interesting as to play with the best only.
I like Gaviota, plays for years some games against Gaviota on my older Dual Xeon 2.8 GHz.
Its nice to see that the programmers have fun on such tourneys too. You can play thousends of games with the best one, no programmer will give a comment or to use such games, because all have newer development versions and older available versions are not interesting.
To be torn, what is better ...
Each time the same question.
OK, for now I am playing with the TOP-20 and have fun with it. But for sure I will config on my notebook amateurs only

I am Winboarder for the first time

But I lost a little bit the interest on all the strong amateurs in the past. The reason is that I have not enough time for all. I analyse a lot of GM games and here I used the best one in my free time. After my break of three years I have a lot of fun with chess books. I read so far a very very interesting book.
"Endgame studies"
German titel: Studien für Praktiker
by mark Dvoretsky, Oleg Pervakov
What a great book, I think for very strong chess players. Not easy for me to understand all.
I like this book and will try different positions on my notebook with amateurs. A great book for amateur chess programmers I think.
