Re: 1.b3 opening computer analysis
i'd recommend trying komodo...i imagine robbo would be a poor choice for very early openings.
oh, & not to come across as a salesman, but if you don't have it i'd recommend purchasing aquarium so you can interact with the engine using IDeA. robbo & komodo don't support IDeA yet, though komodo will soon, but rybka should be decent if you own it as well.

komodo uci does not support the old CA7. i wait for Komodo update or i must buy CA11 and CB11.

For opening positions, Rybka is best.Togga wrote:i dont like the analysis of robbolito g3, because it does not play Bb2:(

I always analyse for at least an hour before I firmly believe computer analysis of opening positions, and doubly so for when the position is mostly closed.
Are you looking for black's response to 1.g3 or 1.e3
It is not clear to me.

Re: 1.b3 opening computer analysis
like i said, i think you'll like aquarium. i believe it's only 30-40 dollars so quite a bit cheaper than something like chess assistant or chessbase. if you're looking purely for GUI to use for engine analysis, its definitively the best available imo.Togga wrote:komodo uci does not support the old CA7. i wait for Komodo update or i must buy CA11 and CB11.

This thread is okay for now because it is computer chess related.Togga wrote:look at the subject!

Your English is pretty good considering that German is probably your native language.

1.b3 e5 2.Bb2 d6 3.e4 Nf6 4.d4 exd4 5.Qxd4 Nc6 6.Bb5 Bd7 7.Bxc6
Bxc6 8.Nd2 Be7 9.Ngf3 O-O 10.O-O Re8
i can not find this variant in any database.
i played it as black in a rapid game, the position is draw.
anyone has this variant in his chess database?

I hadn't seen that before. Very interesting, thanks.
