Nice tournament, I did not know Christopher Conkie was the author of a chess engine. Why is he not participating? Azrael is in the list of participants.

Best,
Carlos

Just arrived back,

I'd like to say a big Thank You to Richard for organizing the tournament - I really enjoyed the experience again, and will definitely play next year. Recommended to anyone who's thinking of participating.

Also thank you to the other participants... especially for the friendly help and advice!!!

Safe journey home,

Richard

Hi Richard,

Deep Sjeng did it again. Congrats to Giancarlo Pascutto.

Do you know what hardware used Deep Sjeng and Shredder?

Best,
Carlos

Shredder was on a Mac Pro, although I don't know the model exactly. He played against Diep on a dualcore laptop because of a hardware failure.

Deep Sjeng played most games on an Intel Q6600 quad, except against Shredder (24-core 2.4Ghz AMD) and Diep (80-core cluster). Diep expressed some doubt if the cluster works so now he knows :-)

Diep was on a 16-core AMD (Opteron 8356).

Booot was using one core of an Athlon X2 4800.

The Baron was using an AMD Opteron 270 @ 2.0Ghz x 4.

I don't know about the others.
