It's good to see some old engines in action again.
Nimzo 8 was once hailed as the engine with the most technical style of play. It was also the 2nd fastest node counting program (1st is Little Goliath).
I used the Nimzo engines before as sparring partners for stronger engines, so to see how their added knowledges would fare against a bean counter style.
I would think that Nimzo 8 would win this match still.

Re: M-Chess vs World 2: Nimzo 8 entered the Tournament
Thank you for your comments about Nimzo 8.
I'm not sure about Nimzo 8, i bought it 3 weeks ago from a other computerchess fan. So i don't have so much experience with Nimzo 8.
But your are right it make a lot kn/s.
And it's style looks like typical or should i say classical computerchess style it remebers me to old programs like the Sargon ....;:-)
And at this hardware and time control Mchess can bite very hard, I'm not sure that Nimzo will survive this
Regards
Andi

Re: M-Chess vs World 2: Nimzo 8 entered the Tournament
Is Nimzo 8 using the Nimzo8 book? It was known as a very good book, lots of deep lines. Also, MChess was also known to use "Killer Books" or "Killer Lines", reportedly aimed at defeating its contemporary computer opponents quickly.
