Thanks Graham, and I apologize for the confusion that caused you guys to test 2 separate versions, though I must admit the data it generated was very useful and sped up the our first public release significantly .
Hi Sam and Edsel!
Thanks for your engine!
But any polyglot book works.
Seems that are a book bug from Twisted logic because it dont read any polyglot book, of course it was named "HannibalBook.bin"
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the report. I likely messed up somewhere when putting in the book code Edsel sent me from TwistedLogic. We will try to have that fixed in the next version. For now, I guess a work-around would be to use the book through polyglot.
I'm having a weird issue with using Polyglot books with Hannibal. Hannibal seems to not play any book moves on the first move as white, but plays book moves on move 2 and subsequent moves. It plays book moves from move 1 as black. I tried both performance.bin and varied.bin, and tried both the x32 and x64 versions of Hannibal.

I have replicated this problem (as has at least one other user, see posts above). We will try to fix it for the next version. Try using the book through polyglot. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you Sam, and thanks to you and Edsel for writing a fine engine.
