Hi Sedat,

don't waste your time testing Stockfish in UCI1 mode.
The time loses of Stockfish in sudden death TC will not disappear.
No other top engine loses on time so early and so frequently under ChessGUI.

ChessGUI is very strict with timing. The debug files can prove that.

BTW, UCI1 mode is almost never used in ChessGUI. Almost all UCI engines support UCI2.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Hello Matthias !

True...now its quite clear that Stockfish even in UCI1 mode get the same time loses under ChessGUI 0.196

And its interesting to note (as far as i noticed so far) that Stockfish 1.8 JA x64 T1 loses on time only under Arena v2.0.6 and ChessGUI 0.196
For example,Stockfish has no any single game on time loses under rest GUIs (Fritz,ShrederClassic,Winboard,ChessPartner)

It is a Stockfish problem and should be fixed in the engine.

You can make the following test under ChessGUI : choose 8 top engines (including Stockfish) and let them play a 2-cycle RoundRobin tournament at TC "Game in 30 seconds".

If you do the test, tell us here how often each loses on time.

Best,
Matthias.

Game in 30sec ? Wow...then i am quite sure we will see much more games - lost on time

But it's a pity of course when we see time loses with a such popular time control of 5 Minutes/Game

And i hope there will be no more time loses in the next releases

Unfortunately i need to cancel testing these Chess GUIs (due to many time loses):
Winboard 42010807 - Deep Rybka 4 has 3 loses due to forfeits on time;Stockfish 1.8 has 1 game forfeits on time
Arena 2.0.6 - Stockfish 1.8 has 4 loses due to forfeits on time;Deep Rybka 4 has 2 games forfeits on time
ChessGUIs 0.196 - Stockfish 1.8 has 12 loses due to forfeits on time;Deep Rybka 4 has 0 games forfeits on time
ChessPartner 6.0.4.0-Deep Rybka 4 has 4 loses due to forfeits on time;Stockfish 1.8 has 1 game forfeits on time

Note:Fritz 12 GUI and Shredder Classic have no any single game on 'forfeits on time' of 400 games played so far

Next Graphical User Interface which will be tested is Aquarium 4.0.5 GUI

I am running this at "Game in 30 seconds" under ChessGUI 0.196.

No time losses till now (49 games).

Games are adjudicated if score is bigger than rook for 4 consecutive full moves.
