just about even with R4.
Do you plan on testing it at longer TC.
Best,

Did you try it with my settings Gerold![]()

At a longer time control it stays above Rybka and Houdini....

Re: Firebird 1.1
Well,I can answer your question only partially....I use Firebird_11 w32_in as I found it the fastest running on my Quad system....Paloma wrote:works this setting with any FB...exe equally well?
which is the best (fastest) engine from following lists?
Firebird_11 w32_in
Firebird_11 w32_ms
Firebird_11 w32_ms_k
Firebird_11 w32_no_SSE2_k
The settings should be applied equally in my opinion, the difference will be in the speed of the .exe you use....

Thanks for your opinion, I'll try a few engines.
I'm curious if it plays better than houdini
Any news on FB 1.4?

At long time controls....that's at least 15 minutes per game plus a reasonable increment,it outperforms both Houdini and Deep Rybka 4....Paloma wrote:Thanks for your opinion, I'll try a few engines.

No news on Fire 1.4 yes....all I know that there will be 2 versions,Fire 1.4 mostly based on these dettings which Norman will tweak to make them even stronger, and Fire 1.4 xTreme which will include a big number of UCI parameters to play with....

Unfortunately Norman is too busy with his personal life....work,family,wife,as he stated in another forum....but let's hope in the upcoming 2 weeks to put our hands on Fire 1.4....that is a pure prediction of coursenotyetagm wrote:Gee, now you've got me all excited with talk of all these great new features in Firebird 1.4.Dr.Wael Deeb wrote:At long time controls....that's at least 15 minutes per game plus a reasonable increment,it outperforms both Houdini and Deep Rybka 4....Paloma wrote:Thanks for your opinion, I'll try a few engines.
