Congrats to Stefan Meyer-Kahlen and his team!
Hi Peter,

how was this tournament different to the one which Rybka won?

Cheers,
Graham.

.....and it seems Rybka did not play in this tournament ?
I noticed that. Disappointing. :?

Rybka is a coward, which only plays with 200 prosessors.

To be more specific it's author is the one to blame

For Rybka the future is in cloudcomputing. Cluster Rybka is not really advertizing for Rybka 4 anyhow, this is supposed to be the thing you can hire with remote procesing power included in the price. Some day 8-)

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first
place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you
are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

Rondo did very well. Is this engine available or private?

I brought this up on the Rybka forum as well but I find the "software" section where all programs play on the same hardware to be much more interesting from a competitive point of view.

The various hardware section doesn't interest me as much. I like the idea of straight up competition.

I guess I am somewhat of an anachronism. Give me hardware! I refuse to pay and pay for a 'cloud.' I either own the engine or I do not. How does one tinker with a cloud in terms of settings? I am somewhat of a collector to a degree apprantly.
