The top engine will gain automatic promotion and the bottom engine will gain automatic relegation. The second top engine and the second bottom engine (perhaps others also) will play grading matches to determine which division they will play in for the next series.

Thanks for the tournament, Graham.
Regards,
Congratulations on Redqueen's automatic promotion into Division 3.
Now that should be a tough challenge for your engine!
Cheers,
Graham.
Thanks Graham.
Well I think this one was already tough! But I am very satisfied with the results - especially when you have such good engines competing. I remember when you started testing Redqueen in the beginning of the last year and it was struggling to keep playing on the 7th division.
I remember you asked me in the Rybka forum if you could test Redqueen . I answered it was beta and I was actually not very comfortable to let you test such a weak engine. But you tested it anyway and at the end it was a "push" to me continue improving Redqueen until now. I am very grateful for that.
It is a pity that nowadays everyone is more concerned about controversies on the legitimacy of the engines rather than in computer chess itself.

Ben-Hur,
Congratulations! I saw RQ runs in Linux, which means G. found one more sparring. I have not checked that but I certainly will.
Gaviota hopes to see RQ in div. III, but first there is another bump...

Hey Miguel. Thanks!
Actually all the development and testing of RQ is done in a Linux 64 bits environment (either Ubuntu/Fedora), even though 95% of RQ downloaders are windows users so I make a win32 executable for them (and then wait for the much better builds from Jim Ablett). So you can wait for a significantly better engine running RQ on Linux.
I am about to release the new RQ version with a lot of new feature and a much more Elo. I think this one is going to be a better sparring for Gaviota.
I wish all the best to your very nice and original chess engine. I have been using it for a quite while in my private tournaments. RQ also hopes to see Gaviota in the 3th division.
PS: Lets also hope a better World Cup for Brazil and Argentina in Brazil - 2014. The last one was boring.
