2011 Arimaa Man vs. Machine Match

Arimaa is a chess variant playable with a standard chess set, but designed to be difficult for computers such that human players can still out play the computer. Google 'arimaa' for more info.

The 8th Annual Arimaa Challenge Match is now in progress. The games will feature live commentary by high rated Arimaa players. Check this page for your local game times:

I am learning the game from listening to the commentaries.
And also very tempted to write a program given the big prize fund :) and also small number of computer participants.

Thanks; creating the game and running the yearly challenge match (since 2004) has been an interesting computer science experiment.
