wow.

This could only be a bad string of results... but...
Disappointing considering how well Gaviota did here
http://kirill-kryukov.com/chess/discuss ... c048793d81

In division 3 it had a **terrible** start too, but ended up saving itself from relegation.

Hi Miguel,

I've consistently found Gaviota's results to be erratic. Could just be the roll of the dice or could be because of its playing style? Not sure. Regardless, all of the games are available for perusal and I do a quick check to make sure that nothing seems amiss in any of my games.
After all this, Gaviota will probably win its final three games. :P

Cheers,
Graham.

Not bad at all, swiss has always been interesting. I wonder if chessGUI is capable of handling swiss with 2 games per pairing with color reversed and same opening.

I think so, but haven't tried that option yet.
Only downside running a Swiss under ChessGUI is that you can't replay any games if you get a bad opening.

To do that manually, go to TOURNAMENTS folder and edit 3 files:
1) Schedule: "*" as in "964 X-X-X-X * X-X-X-X Stockfish 2.0.1 x64 JA X-X-X-X IvanHoe 9.54b w32"
2) *.s1e: "*" as in "16.0 3096 000 001 0003:b= 0001:w*" for both engines.
3) *.e1e: reduce nPlayedCnt by 1

Matthias.
