Hi all,
the new version of cheng3 is available (as usual) at http://www.vlasak.biz/cheng
changes: some (q)search and MVV/LVA fixes, more aggressive LMR, added a small opening book, added gtb probing code license.txt (forgot that in 1.04 ) => should be somewhat stronger than 1.04, hope that independent testing won't prove me wrong.
have fun
Martin

Hello !
A new Cheng - a new joy for the old and maverick SilvianR !
Thank you my Moravian friend !
Tomorrow (around 10 CET ) an unespected gift ( together with all the needed instructions ) will be in your PM. A big one !
Till then - a little gift for you.
The equestrian statue of the great prince Stephen the Great of Moldavia - in Iasi:
The life of this great prince -voted ( ) the biggest Romanian of all times was a terrific one. A lot of battles , a single defeat. The biggest European victory against Turcs in all the 15-th century (High Bridge/Vaslui 1475 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Vaslui ). 47 beautiful churches , a lot of fortress , a prosperous commerce , no thiefs..............compare please with the modern Romania !
Here is a contemporary image of this great prince from an old Moldavian chronicle ( Tetraevangheliarul de la Humor):
Well , was also a minus in his life: nothing about computer chess !
Yours,
SilvianR
