Open Source Bullet: DoubleCheck 3.3

I haven't released version 3.3 yet, so it's a snapshot of developpement. A couple of things on the to do list before I do so. Anyway, it seems that the improvement (measured at ultra mega fast time control) are validated in rating list condition.

Conditions
* Open Source and Portable engines only: no closed source, commercial, or windows only programs. I made an exception for Critter, because: it's non commercial, multi plateform, Richard is willing to send his sources to selected developpers, and otherwise SF and IH would have no one to play with but each other.
* Copyleft: Ideally licensed under the GNU GPL, or with copyright restrictions that are not excessive.
* 1min+1sec/move, 64 MB Hash, 1 Thread, 64-bit, Ponder off, no EGTB.
* 8 book moves: neither to little, nor too much. Allows engines to develop their own plan, while offering a large enough number of opening positions.
* Bayeselo, offset Fruit 2.1 = 2700 elo.

DoubleCheck is quickly climbing the ranks. You've made serious progress in the past year - over 400 ELO I think. They'll be after you next! :lol:

Impressive Lucas,

Thanks :D

Actually I'm not too worried about Fruit. DC 3.3 still doesn't beat it, but it scores reasonably ok against it. The real problem seems to be Crafty 23.4. DoubleCheck get completely destroyed by Crafty, and scores like 20-25% at fast time control against Crafty. It does better against other ones though (it scores better against Daydreamer 1.75 than against Crafty 23.4).

Crafty often wins by agressing DoubleCheck's poor helpless king :S

Who "they" ? You mean censorship and smearing campaigns ? Perhaps in anticipation I should write the next versions under a Russian sounding pseudonym ;)
