4TH IVANHOE VERSION JOCKEYING FOR POSITION

Post by geots »

Ivanhoe B46fC x64 vs Komodo64 SSE Version 4

This Ivanhoe version I had never loaded until now. I had no idea what to expect.

Intel i5 w/4TCs
Fritz 11 gui
1CPU/64bit

128MB hash
Bases=NONE
Ponder_Learning=OFF
Perfect 12.32 book w/12-move limit
40/3 Repeating
Match=50 games

Code: Select all

1   Ivanhoe B46fC x64        0    +11/-11/=28   50.00%   25.0/50
2   Komodo64 SSE Version 4   0    +11/-11/=28   50.00%   25.0/50

Good matches to come in a placement struggle-

First of all,I want to tell you that I extremely enjoy your matches George :D

Now,this is exactly the version which plays in my rated tournaments....

Do you think that the 46e version is stronger :!: :?:
Just wondering regards,
Dr.D

This is the first match I have run with it, but yes- I can safely say B46e is quite a bit stronger. There are at least 3 or 4 others I know are stronger as well. It's harder than with most to put a close number on it- as I said this is its first match for me. But I would be proud to run it in any tournament. It can more than hold its own.

Came back because I forgot to tell you I have thousands of 32bit Ivanhoe games. But only a few matches with 64bit. I have run 4, and will run probably 8 or so more trying to get a feel for their 64bit placement. I picked Komodo for 2 reasons- it will be overall competitive and won't get embarrassed. Not as strong as Houdini and Critter- but not as weak as Hiarcs and the like. And one thing I don't want are any problems- and Komodo may be the most stable out there in that respect.

I also wanted to tell you to watch out for them, because I will be posting 2 matches per day till I finish this placement test.

Ivanhoe B46fC x64 does quite well in my test matches (almost on par with Critter)
Where can I have a look at your results?

I apologize for sounding stupid. But as to Ernest's question, I do not know if he was talking to the Dr. or to me. I assume the Dr. because he has his quote.

As for you Gab, I am not sure if you are talking to me or not either. I guess you need to tell me.

And it doesn't help any that I fell asleep and just woke up and you know how that is.

OK then. No problem. I assume even with the typo you mean B46fC. Just let me know- I can always put it in an email to you. But you and anyone else who reads this be aware that my mail will not let me send a zip or rar file that contains an executable. I can receive- Can't send. So I just delete the last letter from the one I send- either sending it as a "zi" or "ra" file. After you download it, add the last letter to the word and then you can extract.
