Post by zamar »

Hi!

It's a known fact that chess engines don't understand King's Indian.
To play it well requires long term strategic planning. So it's not a surprising for that even a low rated player can be win a top-computer every now and then.

But to prove your point, I think that instead of posting the chess games here, you should create account in some internet chess server and play against machines there.

When playing with your own PC, it's possible to quickly restart game after your blunder, choose a book for engine that fits your purpose, restart immediately if engine doesn't follow the book line you wanted etc.
And then post the one game of 100 you won/drew. Some even use takebacks. It's also possible to use engine in analysis mode beforehand and try to find positions where engine is likely to blunder...

All of these things make the match very unfair for the computer. But if all games are played on the Internet server, anyone can check that no dirty tricks were used.

Regards,
Joona

Hi Joona,

soon I am going to have holidays but after that I try to make some video where everything will be clearly visible. By the way what is your estimation for strength of Stockfish on Samsung SII (2x1,4GHz, ponder on)? Playing against PC (especially i7) is different story. Moreover if engines has a good book it is much more difficult but I wanted to give a proof that it is possible to beat engines with limited book (Stockfish book from Droidfish is used if the game is not played on PC). I have posted games in king´s indian defence because it is the only one opening where I am able to beat engines :) Anyway if you will check more games you will see that it was played without any help - I have already posted also some lost games (of course that I lost most games against Stockfish, which I like very much because it is original engine for free style games and correspondence games too - in combination with Houdini). Here is the newest game against one of weaker engines (this time it is fianchetto king´s indian defence).

Default setting of Critter 1.6 for smartphones doesn´t have aggressive content setting so even this kind of quick draw is possible...

Joona belive me, they (Czech people) can do a wonderfull beer.
I think that Miroslav is able to play against chess engines with some good result. Engines have a few weak points and a reasonable man can use it. Engines without knowladge of opennings, strategy and egtb are now vulnerable in many positions.
Maybe, I can't be friendly, but let me be useful.

Mister Kvicala Miroslav. Felicitaciones !! Congratullations

Post by Father »

Julio 11 de 2012

Mister Kvicala Miroslav.

Cordialmente,

Pablo Ignacio
I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.
