I might add, why I don't know, that on this same XP system, I install Fritz 10 and Fritz 11. I try to install Fritz 13, and it won't let me. It says "the administrator has set a policy prohibiting the use of so and so". Well, I am the administrator- and the only one. And I have not set shit. So I guess it just says whatever it feels like saying, bullshit or not.
Point being I guess is that I am sick of crap that is more stupid than me.

Re: Relase Bouquet 1.5 x32, x64, pop64 (SSE4.2).
In my computer everything works.
In Virtual machines with XP and 32-bit also.
It will not let me see the problem.
I will compile in virtual machine with previous version of the compiler.
But I do not want to abuse these bad executables and your patience.
Someone could test whether these work in 64-bit executables, that would give an idea.
I'll have to get off old machine the attic, and turn it on , but I do not see the problem.
Again, apologies.
And thank you all.

same problems with both 32-bit compilations of new Bouquet. With running version 1.4 no problems at all. Installing dll's and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) is no help.
Machine is rather old -- an Intel Pentium dual cpu E2180 running Windows XP SP3.
Hope this info helps to solve the problem.

Geno

Velmarin, it is not trying my patience. As you well know, the worst that can happen for me is run it on intel i5. EVERYTHING works on the i5. Your Bouquet I know will run the 64bit on my xp quad. I haven't tried the 32bit, but I imagine it will work somehow. If it doesn't- how many people you know run 32 bit when they can run 64bit instead anyway.
I was really referring above to how stupid the XP system is. Can't find a dll when I stick it under his nose. I know he can even smell it. Then what really pisses me off is what it tells me when I try to install Fritz 13. And none of this mess is your fault.

You just stated the problem for everyone. I have an intel i5- everything runs on it of course. But when we get to my XP system- similar to the system you describe in that they have old technology- we are trying to mix very new technology with old hardware technology- and it just won't work. In most cases, you cannot do it. Thing is, like Jean Paul said- they may come out next week with something for the exe that makes the i5 suddenly antiquated as well. You can keep up with them if you are made of money.

I know, not only for you, I feel bad not being able to try it myself,
turn the other machine is my solution, but we are on holiday in the city and the family does not leave much time.
But my mind wants to do it now.
Regarding Fritz 13, even if you are administrator, sometimes you have to open with Explorer and run as administrator.
Fritz 13 requires having DiretX, xx, in the folder there are usually prerequisites executables.
Although perhaps a portable yet installed and is a solution ...

I do not have this machine set up to get on line. One other problem on that xp box we are speaking of. The 64bit non-popcnt exe it lets me load for 1.5 only uses 4MB hash, and it won't change. whereas the 1.4 64-bit exe works fine. You got any ideas?

Greetings.
Look, this new x64 runs on my XP system that will not run popcnt. It thinks, moves and plays ok. Thing is- it is only using 4MB hash- and I cannot make it use any more. I have no idea what the problem is. As I said, 1.4 x64 works fine. 1.5 x64 does not.
