Thanks Graham, interesting tournament. Amazing depths. Perhaps that's a good title for your next 8-CPU tournament

a lot of draws .maybe it's true all the differences of the engines fall at high speed nodes

It's interesting how high HIARCS has placed considering its comparatively low strength.

Interesting tourney, thanks for running it.

It is not surprising that the 3 top places went to commercial engines.

Crafty had a good result IMO, scoring 50% against a tough field.

I would have expected Minkochess and Protector to do a bit better than they did, but maybe they do not perform as well on 8 cores as some other engines.

In a tournament of 9 rounds, there will be the odd good or poor result, so I don't think that we can read too much into it those that didn't meet prior expectations.

Thank you Graham, very nice tournament and thanks a lot for broadcasting.

Are you planning to set another tour like this but with more games (let's say 20)?. It would be fantastic.

Best Regards

At this stage, the next 8 core tournament is likely to be mid-December, and I might run a couple of them.
Was thinking of another Swiss to allow for a wider range of engines, then possibly a round robin or knockout involving the higher ranked engines.
Meantime, I've got to help get the CCRL 40/40 and 40/4 4CPU lists in better shape. :)
