A wonderful idea. All the other tests like IPON or others are wrong.ThatsIt wrote:Hi to all !

Maybe, I can't be friendly, but let me be useful.

IMO only these conditions are full honest for rating lists:ThatsIt wrote:For what reason ?lech wrote:A wonderful idea. All the other tests like IPON or others are wrong.ThatsIt wrote:Hi to all !

- without books, tablebases
- startposition (from zero)
- time per move, changed after each pair of games
- 1CPU

But the main problem will be, that you only get 2 games per match !lech wrote:IMO only these conditions are full honest for rating lists:ThatsIt wrote:For what reason ?lech wrote:A wonderful idea. All the other tests like IPON or others are wrong.ThatsIt wrote:Hi to all !

Far too little for a rating list.

I mean each pair of games for the same opponents. Time is changed (to avoid same games) after cycle. It is rather a technical problem.ThatsIt wrote:But the main problem will be, that you only get 2 games per match !lech wrote:IMO only these conditions are full honest for rating lists:ThatsIt wrote:For what reason ?lech wrote:A wonderful idea. The books are also a part of Chess.
I'm not sure.
Then we should schedule the engines with that feature.
As experiment is good, but it's unnatural.
We have Tournaments with Kns limitation, PLY limitation, Weather nonexistent.
You can only take as experimenters boring, in my opinion.
Greetings.

e.g. Some of engines can have troubles with the opening. The first moves are very important and why don't test it?velmarin wrote: As experiment is good, but it's unnatural.

Oh, yes, taste is perfect.
But many people since time immemorial has been devoted to opening theory, also deserve their piece of cake.
You run the risk of never having a "Sicilian", or "Pirc", or "Bird",
or a "King's Gambit", ect.
Openings flat.
Yet this very well, perfect.
At least not cut plys or kns limited, or placed second "zero".
