If you count only the last 21 games, Houdini would have had a resounding victory.
Therefore if all the difficult 9 first games can be well explaned why it lost a few times (besides mere statistics), then that may yet redeem the impression of the quality of play that Houdini 3 has.

You seem a bit obsessed. 70 Elo points difference is a lot? That's the difference of Houdini 3 from the field. Well, these 70 Elo points mean 6.0:4.0 _average_ score of Houdini 3 versus X in 10 games, with good probabilities to get some say 4.0:6.0.
