Would be nice to have a zoom board feature, so I can watch the games when I am further away from the computer.
Do I have to release the new version in order for it to be included? I am asking because I am soon going to release the new version with evaluation changes only, but I do have some search improvements (adding 40-50 ELO) that I don't plan to release at this time since they are not yet finished.
Hi Dragan,
Now there is a big board function so you can watch the games while you make coffee or eat. Just click the "Big Board" link right below the chess board in the live page. It will re-size it self depending on how big you make the window.

The big board: Very nice!
( I noticed the functions are different. For example E7 square does not flip board, wich is default function in pgn4web... )

The shortcut squares functions of pgn4web can be redefined according to what makes sense to have in each page.
The choice is up to the unquestionable choice of the page author (more often than not, myself). Sugegstions are welcome... but not always agreed on...

Paolo,
Was not a complain. Just noticed the difference and let it know to Martin, in case was a misconfiguration or if was on propose.
By the way, I take this oportunity to thank for such great tool you made. I'm using the pgn4web board generator with great pleasure. Impressive solutions like the compressed pgn in the URL ready to use in a iframe.
Martin,
would it not be a good idea, before starting the official tournament, to run a short and quick "1-day beta tournament" between a few engines that will not enter the true one, just to "heat up" all this machinery?
I, for first, would like alot such an hors d'oeuvre...
Thx for attention
ciao

No problem, it was not taken as a complain. I was just explaining why you see things in pgn4web done the way they are and why certain common requests have been repeatedly rejected (for instance, you don't see coordinates around the chessboard).
And of course, for the TCEC pages Martin is ultimately free of doing with pgn4web whatever he likes better (in complete harmony with the universe).

Not many people noticed that; I believe creating a Huffman code optimized for PGN representation as URL parameters was the point where I crossed a very dangerous non-return line...
