I would call this a BIG bug in the GUI.
Don't see any valid rule that can adjudicate this as a draw.
Sjaak score drops from -6 to -39 and GUI declares a draw!?

0.39 isn't such a big deal, and remember that these engines don't play like Houdini.

There are no perfect adjudication rules unfortunately (just ask Martin in TCEC), and I won't play out games right to the very last move when using longer time controls. Sorry.

The only thing I'd consider in future is changing the default adjudication settings, but again, it's hard to come up with a perfect solution.
Don Dailey looked into this issue and couldn't come up with an optimum suggestion.

Good luck in the remaining games. I suspect Nebula is already too strong for this division anyway.

I understand the need to avoid boring draws.
Just find it curious that GUI isn't considering the score drops.
Perfectly fine if both engines have constant scores, but adjudicating after the considerable score change looks weird.
I am pretty sure my latest baby would win this against Houdini. I will try it tomorrow :)

Hi Graham,
I tried using TLCV from your link many times but always get the same error message:
'Connection failed. No response from server.'

I can ping your host. Not sure if my firewall is refusing to connect on port 16001 or if something else is wrong.

Cheers, Dragan

Many people seem to have trouble using TLCV. :(
The only thing that I can suggest is that you check your firewall and/or router permission settings.
