Who's to say. Srelka 5.6 could be making a late run- or it could be a last-gasp effort that falls short. Or- Komodo CCT could come on strong again. Possibilities abound as we now have 46 games remaining.

Not the best at math, but it looks like 11 more games are in the books. And that leaves 35 more games to play. Adding the wins for both engines still does not equal the draw total. In fact, not really even close. Still, Strelka just will not go away- so 35 games may be enough for him to still have a chance to catch Komodo. But it is going to take more than removing a game from the lead every 10 or so. At any rate, what do I know.............................

It's a saying we have over here- "It Ain't Over Till the Fat Lady Sings." Or as the one and only Don Meredith said so well- "Turn out the lights, the party's over." You pick, it really doesn't matter. But I would say this match is pretty much done. Strelka has lost 12 more chances plus a game in the score. Down to 23 games left. Strelka is a hell of a strong chess engine, but a magician he is not............................................

There is little or nothing to say that hasn't been said. As this match ends, I may once more post the results of all the matches in which Strelka 5.6 destroyed everything in sight. The way in which it demolished Komodo 5 is a testament to how much work and effort Don and Larry put into Komodo CCT, and what a success it turned out to be. That must be pointed out in an emphatic way.
Yes, it is over for all practical purposes. In the 6 games since the last update, Komodo has increased his lead from 6 to 9 games, with only 17 left to play.
On the flip side, if Strelka 5.6 has anything to be ashamed of, I would love to know what it is. There are one hell of a lot of engines that would love to be in the top 5 in the world on 1CPU- quite likely No. 3.

Well, all things good and bad finally come to an end- and this match is no exception. Actually, instead of merely clinging to a lead, Komodo CCT turned on the afterburners and really put things out of reach in the closing games.
I am still not convinced a lot of people realize what an amazing feat Komodo managed to show us. This is one hell of a monster engine he beat here.
