Oh before i forget, after you suggested Dirty is stronger than scorpio i decided to watch live and got confused by what I saw. I don't know if there was a problem with TLCV but I observed weird behaviour three times. Some games of Scorpio seem to be replayed. On round 19 or 20 of scorpio against dirty , I saw scorpio won and had 10 points or something. It had again the same 10 points in the next round after a loss against another engine. Next morning i see that Dirty actually won and scorpio had 9 points! No engine had replay of games so i don't know how that happened. Then later after 8 or so rounds in a game against Dirty again the game was played twice. Scorpio had won both games against dirty which i saw being played, so it got the win anyway. I am not suggesting anything but I though i should report that behaviour.
Last but not least I would appreciate it if you keep your personal opinions of my engine to yourself. I can't make you do that but it will be appreciated if you did.

Daniel - Scorpio is a great engine. I love it.

Sometimes games need to be replayed because of issues such as unfair opening lines, etc.

Please don't think that I have anything against yourself or Scorpio because that's not the case.
You've made and continue to make an excellent contribution to our hobby.
I apologise if I've offended you somehow, because that certainly wasn't my intention.

Scorpio 2.7.6 64-bit 4CPU will be playing in my next 4 cores tourney if you're interested.

Regards,
Graham.

Ok it is your list you should do as you like, and i have no opinion of it. As to Scorpio, it doesn't matter to me if you think it is a good engine or not but consider my request for you not to comment on it. I like testers who doesn't have an emotional attachment to their list or any engine in particular. A little part of me thought you would say those things i saw didn't happen but credit to you gave your reasons. But sure you understand why i thought so. CEGT played more than 800 games and said scorpio is better overall, you come banging with 'scorpio 2.7.6 doesn't work', 'scorpio is weak even weaker than dirty after 9 games or so', and then i saw those game replays against dirty etc.
Well anyway if it makes you happy yes scorpio 2.7.6 seem to be particulary weak against a certain class of engines but at least it beats discocheck 51-19. Sorry Lucas, just a random dig :)

Bye

For what it's worth, Scorpio has always been an engine I've particularly enjoyed watching.
I've got a Scorpio 2.7.6 64-bit gauntlet on my list of things to do.

I do enjoy some engines more than others, but that certainly doesn't affect the impartiality or accuracy of my testing at all.

CEGT do a great job and after 800 games, that should indeed be a fairly accurate indication of where Scorpio stands in relation to others.

And hey, I'm not perfect. I say things occasionally that end up being wrong or are interpreted in the wrong way.

Anyway, you have a nice weekend. 8-)
