I only recently discovered nTCEC, and happened to be watching this game last night as it unfolded. Wow, was really stunned by the big eval difference. And enjoyed trying to divine what was going on. What an excellent format and thanks so much for the people putting this together.

... and I should add that I'm very pleased to see that the CPU hours I've donated to Stockfish testing have gone to good use!

Yes another great game by SF. Not easy to beat Houdini from both sides of the board. It seems that SF is just out searching Houdini and is going deeper. But to be fair these are only a few games and anything can happen in a few games. One thing is certain though, and that is SF has gained an enormous amount of ELO's.

At times the play from Houdini seems a bit strange. I thought that the last game I saw too. There could be some bug, even if Houdini 9601 is much stronger in the two minute games the bug could become visible only at larger depths, but I really don't know much about Houdini. It is using Syzygy bases but without those Stockfish saw it self with a much higher score and the 6 man Stockfishes in the chat reported mate in 53 already. Houdini was still at -2 or something. Even if part of that would be trying to fool the rules for adjudication from TCEC, it stayed low for so long that it seemed buggy. But it is just an impression I had, maybe it's nothing.

are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.
